Wasps are here at last!
Millennium pest control had definitely noticed a quite start to the wasp nest season seeing reports of wasp nests and wasp nest removal calls down throughout June compared to previous years.
Reports from our technicians on sites both domestically and commercially had backed this up with very low sightings of wasp activity in the usual hot spots of beer gardens, picnic areas and around bins etc.
In July this trend has been dramatically reversed however - there has been a huge increase in the demand for wasp nest eradication and the wasps season is now well under way.
The dry summer with the occasional showers is now providing perfect conditions for the wasps to thrive and wasp nest removal requests are our most common pest control call throughout London and right across the Home Counties and East Anglia regions.
Wasps are extremely dangerous and can have life threatening effects on human health each year. Each wasp can sting multiple times and in doing so release a chemical which encourages other wasps to swarm and sting. In confined places such as sheds, lofts or roof spaces this can prove deadly.
